A beautiful summer weekend is upon us yet again, and many of us will be packing up our clubs and heading to the golf course. Being outside and playing 9, or better yet 18 holes is the perfect way to enjoy the outdoors and simultaneously engage in a favorite hobby. As golfers, we have enough to worry about trying to get our game at or under par, and additional logistics are just supplementary. This is where an Interactive voice response system would come in handy. From scheduling tee times to keeping track of informational aspects about each and every game, an IVR system would have everyone covered. Courses could utilize an IVR system to allow golfers to call in and schedule a tee time. Golfers could then call in, preview courses, and schedule tee times. This system would then go on to interface with the database in place at each course, ensuring organization on both ends. This system could also be used to make outbound calls in the event that tee times had to be postponed, or playtime had to be suspended or canceled due to weather or other special circumstances. Golfers would have up-to-the-minute updates on the status of their favorite courses.
For many golfers, there is nothing more helpful than the ability to track statistics that pertain to every element of their game. From the type of clubs used, to the overall 18 hole score, golfers could use an integrated IVR solution to monitor every facet of their game. Tracking could be done in real time, and golfers (or their caddies) could call in from the course itself and record the type and model of club used, techniques that helped them improve their play, and tips and tricks about the course visited. This system could be accessible to a whole network of friends and acquaintances that could all share tips, and even schedule outings in the same place. With the help of IVR, you can truly accentuate your golf game, and even manage to score a hole in one!
