sensitivity

Default Value: 0.5

Set the sensitivity level. A value of 1.0 means that it is highly sensitive to quiet input. A value of 0.0 means it is least sensitive to noise. The value is a Real Number Designation.

Example

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<vxml version="2.0">
  <property name="sensitivity" value="0.3"/>
  <form>
    <field type="boolean">
      <prompt>
        Please say yes or no.
      </prompt>
    </field>
  </form>
</vxml>

Explanation

From this example, a user is able to say "yes" or "no" in a noisy environment. Setting the "sensitivity" level to a low setting helps in environments where there is alot of background noise. However, by setting the "sensitivty" to a low setting, there is also a small risk of the application missing some of the incoming speech.
