Scratchpad

One of the features included in Plum’s Voice Platform v. 3.0 is a scratchpad, which allows users to test application prototypes and new code ideas. Scratchpads can be saved with IVR hosting accounts, and are always accessible for future reference. Creating a scratchpad is simple and straightforward; users simply go to the applications header tab included in their Plum hosting account and create a new scratchpad. From there, users can transfer over to the Edit Scratchpad page, name their application, and begin writing VXML code. Once users have written test code, they can check to see if the VoiceXML is valid by clicking on the Validate button. If there is a syntax error within the VoiceXML code, the application will alert users and include a short description that elaborates on the syntax error and red line indicators within the code. Additionally, it is easy to save all test code progress, and the scratchpad will always be available for future editing.
