Voice

The voice tag allows the application to change the voice of the TTS speaker from the input text. The gender attribute specifies what gender the TTS engine should use. The gender types for the Plum Voice TTS engines are male, female, and neutral. The age attribute allows the developer to specify the voice age the TTS engine will use. Typically, the attribute looks for an exact match instead of looking for the closest match. For example, <voice age= 20> will only select a twenty year old voice, or fall back to the default voice if one is not found. The name attribute indicates what voice and dialect the TTS engine will utilize to power the application. The xml:lang attribute specifies which language the TTS engine will utilize.
