Skip Logic, which is also known as branching, allows users to create different questions paths throughout a survey. Skip logic allows divergent question trajectories based on a participant’s response to previous questions. Skip logic is mean to route respondents through a survey in a certain way based on their previously provided answers. Plum’s Floodlight survey product includes both page and question skip logic. Page logic allows users to jump automatically to a designated area of the survey, whereas question skip logic allows programmers to direct respondents to distinct questions based on how they have answered a previous question. These types of logic can be utilized in tandem with many types of questions including multiple choice, multiselect, and scale questions.
