Subdialog

Subdialog

A subdialog tag allows users to execute a new VoiceXML document in a new context. Subdialogs are mechanisms for reusing common dialogs and building libraries of reusable applications. They contain several attributes. Name is the result returned from a subdialog. Cond is an expression that must evaluate to true after conversion to Boolean in order for the event to be caught. Expr is the initial value of the form item variable. SRC is the URI of a subdialog. Fetchtimeout represents the timeout for fetches, which must be specified with the appropriate time unit. Maxage tells the platform the maximum acceptable age, in seconds, of cached documents. Fetchaudio specifies the URI of the audio clip to play while the fetch is being done. Method requests the method to get or post. Enctype is the media encoding type of the submitted document, and namelist is the list of variables to submit. If the namelist is supplied, it may contain individual variable references that are submitted with the same qualification used in the namelist.
