Data Attribute

An attribute is a specific option you can set for a VoiceXML tag. Each VoiceXML tag (version, base, application, xml:lang) has a specific set of attributes. A data attribute is a specific characteristic or describing occurrence that you can program into a data application. Essentially, a data attribute can offer the programmer tighter control over what they want to do in a tag. In this manner, developers can control scope and hone their data models to collect very specific data or execute a very specific function based on the coded data attributes they have included and the tags in those attributes.
