Encode

Encode

in

In a telecommunications system, the term, encode, refers to the conversion of data by the use of code, which typically consists of binary numbers. Data that has been encoded is done so in a manner that easily allows reconversion to the original form. Encode also refers to the process of converting plain text to equivalent cipher text by means of a code, and may also involve appending redundant check symbols to a message for the purpose of generating both error detection and correction codes.
