Queue

Queue

in

A queue is a data structure for processing items, usually in a first in, first out manner. In the context of the Plum IVR Hosting Platform, it is a buffer that allows IVR users to line up outbound calls to a phone number or list of phone numbers. When using the Plum IVR Outbound System, one can queue up multiple phone calls for either their hosting account or their survey account. Once one has created an outbound campaign (for either hosting or survey), one can see which calls are still queued (waiting to be dialed out) by viewing the numbers of calls under “Pending”. If this value is 0, that means that there are no longer any more calls in the queue. If this value is greater than 0, this means that there are still calls left in the queue that need to be dialed out. Please also note that any calls that are listed under “Completed” or “Failed” are no longer in the queue.
