Matt founded Plum Voice in 2000, and he now serves as President and Chairman of the Board at The Plum Group. Prior to starting Plum Voice, from 1995 until June of 2000, Matt led communications, media, and technology investing at Baron Capital, a firm then managing approximately $8 billion of assets, and served as portfolio manager for both the Baron Growth Fund and the Baron iOpportunity Fund. Matt received a B.A. with honors in physics from Harvard University, and a master’s degree from Harvard’s Division of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
Andy co-founded Plum Voice in 2000, and has served as CEO since 2006. As CEO, Andy is responsible for formulating and implementing Plum’s strategic plan and overseeing the company’s daily operational needs. During Andy’s term as CEO, Plum experienced seven-fold revenue growth. He also established and fostered Plum’s corporate culture, where employee tenure sits at over 50% longer than the tech industry average. Prior to being named CEO, Andy served as Plum’s CTO.
Before founding Plum Voice, Andy worked as a network architect at Digital (acquired by Compaq, and then, subsequently, by HP) and a systems engineer at News Corporation. At Harvard University, Andy earned a B.A. with dual majors in physics and computer science.
Matt joined Plum Voice in 2001, and has served as CTO since 2006. As CTO, Matt is responsible for product development, R&D, and engineering execution. Matt’s team developed Plum’s core platform technology from the ground up. Under Matt’s guidance Plum’s software platforms scaled to increase call capacity ten-fold and have handled billions of transactions globally.
Prior to Plum Voice, Matt worked at ThinAirApps (acquired by Palm, Inc.) where he helped develop mobile email applications. At SUNY, Plattsburgh, Matt earned a B.S. degree with dual majors in computer science and mathematics.
Scott started at Plum Voice in 2002, and currently serves as CMO & VP of Business Development. As CMO, Scott is responsible for driving growth of Plum’s platforms and services. He oversees sales management, media and analyst relations, strategic partnerships, brand development, product management, and product marketing. As the VP of Business Development, Scott helped drive a 300% increase in Software as a Service (SaaS) revenue in the last 4 years.
Prior to Plum Voice, Scott administered integrated marketing programs for some of world’s most iconic brands at Draft (now FCB), one of the world’s largest global marketing communications companies. Scott earned his B.A. from the University of Colorado.
Tom joined Plum in 2002, and he currently serves as VP of Infrastructure Operations. In this role, Tom is responsible for the strategic planning, procurement, and management of Plum’s data centers. Tom also serves as Plum’s chief compliance officer, overseeing annual audits to ensure compliance with HIPAA, PCI DSS, and SOC 2 standards. Under Tom’s watch Plum increased its hardware capacity over five-fold, and its carrier capacity over ten-fold. This includes major expansions in Plum’s Boston, Philadelphia, Dallas, and London data centers.
Prior to Plum, Tom worked at Papyrus Design Group, a global leader in auto racing simulators, where he served as a title producer and as a production manager. Tom holds a B.A. from Harvard University.
Ariana began her tenure at Plum in 2012, and currently serves as Director of Support Operations. In this role, Ariana is responsible for managing Plum’s customer support interactions, facilitating communications between Plum’s development team and clients. Her leadership in this area produced a 96% customer satisfaction rate. She is also tasked with provisioning resources for increased infrastructure redundancy.
Prior to Plum, Ariana worked at Wellesley College as a customer service administrator. She earned a B.A. from Wellesley College.
